Pure Hapa Tangos With Tracy Reese During Fashion Week

An Official Sponsor of Tracy Reese’s Spring 2007 Collection

September 10, 2006, New York, NY – All natural botanical Hawaiian beauty line Pure Hapa took a major dance step towards the mainstream by serving as an official sponsor of Tracy Reese’s Spring 2007 Collection during Olympus Fashion Week in New York City.

Pure Hapa has become a favorite product of luxury spas in Hawaii including, Four Seasons Manele Bay, Ihilani Spa, Moku Ola Hawaiian Healing Center and the Fairmont Kea Lani. After embarking on a search for the right venue to launch her products on the east coast, founder Nadyne Keala Orona felt Tracy Reese’s show was the appropriate place.

"Tracy Reese is a fantastic designer who mixes classic elegance and quality with worldly colors and patterns in her designs," says Orona. "I have been a fan of her work for years, so I was thrilled to be a part of her latest collection’s launch. Tracy has always found inspiration in her family, and for me, as a Hawaiian, I can not think of a more appropriate designer who matches the Pure Hapa aesthetic."

As an official sponsor, Pure Hapa was present backstage before and after the show, where Orona was able to introduce her products to the media and celebrities such as Lisa Edelstein of the hit TV show "House", R&B singer Jojo, actress Carmen Electra and fashion icon Andre Leon Talley. Pure Hapa products were also placed in the 900 gift bags given to audience members at the show.

"I have always believed in women who are willing to venture out, start their own business and work for what they believe in," says Reese. "Nadyne is an entrepreneur who successfully married her heritage and love for beauty into a unique, luxury product. I am so pleased to have my Spring 2007 collection associated with Pure Hapa."

Tracy Reese is known for her elegant designs with feminine details and classic lines. Her Spring 2007 collection was a tribute to the tango dance and exotic colors and patterns of South America. The collection was a mix of elegance and color with tailored looks such as tucked twill jackets, dolman sleeved shirts, bustier with ruching and embroidered skirts in a wide variety of palettes.

Pure Hapa was launched in 2005. The current beauty line consists of Haupia Orange Soufflé and Sweet Pineapple Sugar Body Creams, Hanalei Sweet and Sour Sugarcane Body Scrub, Hawaiian Essential Facial Serum and Sweet Papaya Facial Exfoliant. Pure Hapa will soon expand to include a men’s line and body washes. All products are available online at www.purehapa.com.
